Well transmission and engine were fine when i pulled it out of the other car(99 civic dx) and i put it in a (96 civic dx). I had to rewire a cut harness and the only code that pops up on CEL is 70. the tranmission has plenty of fluid and seems to shift fine other then the fact that i only notice 2 gears. you think it can be the harness may be shorted or so? what would cause the transmission to only have 2 gears (when i floor it, it downshifts just fine, when it shifts at around 30mph it goes smoothly). It goes up to 90 mph fine but just seems to kill gas on the street.

im thinking about getting a new harness but you think it would solve the problem?
