Default Question about one of my Mounts

Hey guys, the mount thats connected to the ac compressor on the car has went bad and I think that has been causing the noise coming from the engine bay. The plastic is completely ripped/deformed and the bolt is touching the actual mount. My question was, is it okay to take off the ac compressor AND the mount that its connected to, or does the motor need that mount?

You need the mount.

If you're cheap, take it off, clean it up and fill it with 3M window weld.
