Default 83mm gsr block b16 head clearance issues?

I searched for quite some time but nothing answers the question exactly. I have a b18c1 gsr block bored to 83mm w/ 9:1 JE pistons. Question is am i going to run into clearance issues with the b16 head?

I'm going to assume it is sleeved. And that your pistons are not out of the hole. if that is true, you should have no problems with your pistons hitting the head. You still need to check your piston to valve and valve to valve like any other build. if you do not know how to do this. please have someone do this for you.

well the block is not sleeved. As a matter of fact nothing is put together as of now. I just bought the parts, they all came together. From what i've read on here i will need a 83mm headgasket obviously, and i've been told i would need the head milled, but nothing on the valve clearance

well, you are most likely going to have problems with the stock sleeves holding up to 83mm. they become very thin at that point. I suggest you either sell the pistons or buy some sleeves. Whatever bore size you use, its best to use that size headgasket. Its best to do your first couple motor builds with someone with experience. This will save you lots of time and money and hardships.

Should've done some homework before you went out and spent money.

c'mon this doesnt help the thread at all. This is why honda-tech has so many useless threads. Yes i should have done more research before i bought the parts, but i bought them from a guy i know and he was the one starting to build the motor. Turns out i dont even have the time to finish it so im selling it. But your comment has nothing productive in it, im sorry you feel that way but it was un necessary.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Honda-Tech is supposed to be a forum where people can find answers to their honda car questions. I did do research, and found nothing that applied to my specific concern, hence the thread.

Because of comments like yours that are completely useless. So for asking questions about things we can not find through research makes us idiots?! How can anybody gain knowledge with out asking questions. Your comments only bring down the integrity of this forum. If you had technical information i would be more than happy to read it and learn, but "should've done some homework" does nothing.

You purchased, THEN asked questions. Explain the logic behind that.
