Are you looking for all-season tires or summer tires? Talk to user nsxtasy in this forum. He is the man when it comes to knowing about tires. He reccomended me the Kumho Ecsta SPT and so far I love these tires.

The proper tire size is entirely determined by what car you will be putting them on. You'll need ot tell us that to give you an answer.

I agree with talking with nsxtasy (sp?) if you can, he is very knowledgeable about tires. However, you need to tell use alot more information before anyone can recommend a tire for you. What you are going to use the car for, budget, expectations for traction and wear, if the car will see cold weather, etc...

195/50-15 is the proper size for your car.
Do you REALLY need all-season tires in Dallas? Remember, all-seasons are for snow and frigid cold. I know it occasionally snows in Dallas, but your performance won't be as good the rest of the year as it would with summer tires (which will suck when it snows). Just so you know that. (Some people erroneously think all-seasons are for rain, but in rain, good summer tires are just as good if not better.)
If you like the Proxes 4 all-season tires, you can get them in 195/50-15 for $59 each at onlinetires.com.
If you don't need all-seasons, consider the Kumho Ecsta SPT summer tire, $41/tire after rebate in 195/50-15.

The Toyo T1-R is a summer tire, not an all-season tire. It's similar in performance to the Kumho SPT. In 195/50-15, the Kumho SPT is $41/tire after rebate. The T1-R is $60/tire. At two thirds the price for the same performance, the SPT is a much better buy than the T1-R.
