Default rear main bad (safe to drive)

So i was driving back to my school after a weekend trip and all the sudden i see some blue behind me. So im like wtf blah blah, oil pressure is good, a/f good, everything is lookin, motor seems strong. Then my clutch silps in 5th gear when i floor it. This is a 6 puck clutch with only 10,000 miles on it. so now im confused. I pull over and i have oil leakin out, just a slow drip coming from where the tranny meets the motor. My best guess is rear main, it makes sense (there was oil on the rubber plug that covers the hole where u check timing). My question is, as long as i stay ontop of my oil levels, do you guys think its safe for me to drive my car home 300 miles away. I need to get my car there and just leave it there and fix it when i have time, cause i cant deal with this **** when im at school. All help is appreciated.

and my tranny is being really gay and keeps popping out of 5th gear, so i ended up driving back to school in 4th for most of the trip. Not to mention i got pulled over goin 71 on the highway. What a bad day.

The oil spill is only gonna get worse. I remmember when my seal was going bad i could only see the oil stain from where it was gathering from. After a while it turned to dripping oil. The clutch slippage could be oil getting in your clutch. Its only gonna get worst. If your leaking enough oil to see smoke and cause your clutch to slip i wouldnt risk driving home that far.

With your 6 puck clutch did you get an extreme pressure plate? If so there was a thread a few months back that the poster was having problems with the pressure plate putting too much pressure on his crank causing it to damage. I dont remember if he was leaking oil like you but I know it was due to the ACT pressure plate.

your motor might come out ok.....but why would you want to repetitively soak a brand new clutch with lubricant??
