Save the SOHC.

Boosted SOHC>Stock B16. And cost's the same if u know what ur doing.

A B does have more potential though I guess. If ur even gonna dump alot of $ into it.

I'd turbocharge the single cam as well, if it were an A6 at least. B16's suck, they just make a lot of noise N/A.

Try to get ahold of an A6 if you can, then boost it. Or get the B16, with mounts, linkage, axles, etc. They will probably end up costing around the same. A turbo SOHC will get you more power from the start, but a B16 is also a good engine to turbo down the line.

It is really a matter of preference and what you want to do down the line. I always end up pushing my turbo agenda on people, forgive me.

Honestly, with a good tune a boosted engine can be as reliable as stock. I'd convert it to OBD-I and use Hondata, you should have no worries from there. Just don't do any 3 mile long highway pulls or anything.

Dang that is way too expensive... You can get a full SiR-I swap on here in the classifieds for around a grand or less. Used hasport mounts, I have seen those go for like $250-300.
