Default B16 CLUTCH PROBLEMS I CANT GET TRANNY IN

HEY HONDA TECH IM RECENTLY STARTING ON MY NEW PROJECT IM BUILDING UP A 99 GSR MOTOR BUT IM USING A B16 Y1 LSD TRANNY. SO HERES THE DEAL I BOUGHT THE FLYWHEEL 7LB AND I BOLTED ON WITH ARP BOLTS. BUT NOW I BOUGHT A 90-91 6 SPUCK CLUTCH THE DUDE I BOUGHT FROM TOLD ME IT FITS B16 TRANNY'S TOO AS LONG AS THEY ARE CABLE. I INSTALLED THE DISC AND PRESSURE PLATE THEN I TRIED BOLTING IN THE TRANNY THAT **** WOULD NOT WOULD NOT GO IN. ME AND MY BRO WHERE STOMPING ON THAT MOTHER ****** MAN I JUST WOULDNT GO IN YOU KNOW GET ATTACHED TO THE BLOCK. SO I TOLD MY BRO LETS TAKE OUT THE CLUTCH AND LETS SEE IF IT FITS THE TRANNY. WELL WE TOOK IT OFF AND GUESS WHAT THAT **** DID GO IN BUT NOT ALL THE WAY. IT WOULD ONLY GO HALF WAYS. BUT I HAD A QUESTION ARE THEY REALLY THE SAME? I DONT THINK SO BECAUSE IF IT WOULD OF BEEN LIKE ALIGHMENT PROBLEM IT WOULD OF STILL FITTED THE TRANNY WHEN I TRIED TO INSTERT THE CLUTCH DISC IN THE TRANNY. ANY SUJESTIONS OF WHAT TYPE OF CLUTCH I NEED TO USE? OR ARE THEY THE SAME?

All cable transmissions don't take the same clutch. The Y1 does take the 90-91 Integra clutch, but that may not be what you got from the guy.

Step one. Take back down the transmission. Remove pressure plate. Stick the clutch disk along on the splines of the transmission shaft and make sure it fits, and fits snuggly. If so, more than likely it is the correct clutch, it is not being aligned correctly during the installation. They can be hard to line up at times.

If the clutch disk has play on the shaft or will not fit -you have the wrong clutch. We offer the correct clutch packages if needed!
