deff d16zc sohc there pretty deacent i had mine capable of 14's on slicks in a 89 hatch with just minor stuff done im tryin to sell it now comes with si trans and a exceedy clutch set up i sold my header and stage 2 cam but it comes with axels and wut not to ile take like $400 or so for everything runs strong only about 50 to 60 k miles

you cant.

the best motor is the most power you can afford, within your skill level to install properly.

or a cheap motor and boost.

why 3000lbs? no ef ever weighed anywhere near that. the heaviest are around 2300lbs which is another reason these cars are easier to move with less.

sohc zc all the way i got one and it smashes gunna get 15 flat soon with minor bolt ons..

 

the D15B1 is not an 8 valve, its a 16 valve. im getting the a6 soon, hope it rips

I had one of those. It's ok, but once you go B series you never go back. I look back at my D days and laugh thinking I was speedy in a ZC.

I though this thread was the underated motor not the overated motors like zcs. ZCs suck ***

I didnt do that list, I copied it off another site and didnt even bother reading the whole thing, did it more for the engine codes...

That 206ft lbs must have been on 6psi...


And to TeamRedline89hatch the b1 wasnt 8 valves, your right I believe its the b6 that was that came in the hf model.

aal, yeah I noticed that there was no D15B, actually there were two versions of that motor, vtec and vtec-e, the list is also missing some b18c series engines as well, which go through b18c1 too b18c7 even though some did not come in a car factory they were replacment engines.

Now I dont remember what the hell I typed on google to get that list, it was the biggest list I could find that showed the E series engines. "There are mistakes on that list"

EDIT: Noticed it said d15b6 twice and said 8 valve. Ill change the list and update it with CRXbarts K engine codes.

I started to edit it and got lazy, also 3 ZC engines that arnt on there unless I missed them, SOHC ZC VTEC version and Non-Vtec version, then the DOHC version. I also found chassis codes on another site I through on there for the hell of it.
