Default B16b vtec hesitation

Hey guys...i have an off and on issue with a very slight hesitation in 3rd gear after vtec engages. once my b16b hits vtec in third gear it hesitates...almost seems like its bogging for like 2 or 3 seconds. Any ideas

Nevermind...search started working for me. I have plenty to read through...lock and delete post please.

EDIT: Went through archives...nothing with similar symptoms. Anyone have any ideas

its the ecu, i don't know why but i also have a b16b and i used to run the stock civic type r ecu. i changed to a phearable.net chipped p28 ecu and all the weird hesitation problems went away, in fact it felt like a whole different moter and much more responsive and smooth, also under 4000 rpm with the stock ecu it almost felt like it was bogging when i floored it, now it just pulls. buying that ecu is the best upgrade i ever did.

no problem, i was so freakin pleased with my new ecu it wasn't funny, oh and btw if it only does it in third gear its not a fuel filter problem, but it probably needs changing anyway

I'm not thinking that the fuel filter is going to cause hesitation at one particular point. I think you ought to swap ECUs and see what happens.
