TODA Header question...
Sorry for asking such a basic question, but searching provided no answers, and TODA's website is down, so I don't know what else to do.
Anyway, the springs on my TODA Header are starting to pop off. I've lost 2 thus far, and I want to replace all of them with new ones. Where can I get these at? Are these something I can just buy at a local hardware store, or do I HAVE to order them from TODA?
Any help is appreciated.

the toda header is slip-joint fitted with tack welds on them...
the springs are cosmetic
right after you put all new ones on, you will lose them again

And with as huge as you are... you need every ounce of weight reduction you can get.

I thought the newer generation TODA Headers are welded... And the older generation are dependent on the springs to hold them together? My car DEFINATELY has an exhaust leak right where the springs popped off... So that leads me to believe they have something to do with the structural integrity.
Meh... I don't know.

I thought the same thing, so I looked a bit closer. There's no crack on the female end, but I didn't take the Header apart, so there may be a crack on the male end... Guess there's no EASY way to find out.

Can somebody answer: What is the purpose of those springs?
I was missing my bottom 2 springs as well. I had 2 metal bands fabbed up to replace the springs even though "it appeared" they had no structural value.

If you want good springs that will last forever go to a Yamaha dealer and buy them for the R6/R1. The springs even have a rubber protector so they don't scratch up your header. The Springs go for like $8 a pop.

I can't imagine that rubber will last long with how hot the header gets...

The ones for bikes are pretty nice, they also serve a purpose though. My friends full Arrow exhaust http://www.kneedraggers.com/de....html has them and they hold everything together!
