Default How fast will it go?

All variables put aside, what’s an average guess on the top speed of my car?
-Gsr Turbo motor (est. 350-400whp)
-JDM Gsr tranny
-17" wheels with z rated tires

Other than this what else would you guys need to make an accurate guess?

If you want a good answer, be prepared for a lot of other questions about what else you've done to the car.

You will also have to be prepared for the standard Honda-Tech Black Arts Bash Squad attacks about what you intend to do with this top speed you're asking about.

Personally, I will be charitable and assume that your question stems from a legitimate sport off of public roads.

Yes, i dont plan on hitting 130 on a public road. I am sure that the typical honda-tech bashers will jump all over this one but the question is legitimate and i am prepared to give more info.

Horsepower and Torque aren't valid here. Top speed, and acceleration for that matter both rely on the gearing of the transmission.

Since you stated that you have a GSR transmission, I would estimate your top speed at 145-150mph at redline in 5th gear.

And just curiously, why?

Maybe he's in Group 4 on the west coast and wants to know how scared he'll be.

I know the first time that radar showed me over 150 on the way to T1, it sure scared the hell out of me!

lol! I must say, I have gotten up that speed a few times, and Civic's are NOT meant to go that fast. I don't care what "upgrades" you have.

With stock GSR diameter tires. If his 17 inch wheel/tire combination is taller, then he'll have a better top speed at the expense of low-end acceleration. Because he has given us utterly no information of any value, we can't really help him. If he throws us a bone like tire size, that would help immensely.

Also, I'm sure you can google "top speed calculator" and figure this out in seconds just by plugging values into a form.

"17 inch wheels" doesn't matter whatsoever if you don't give us the tire size as the width and ratio will determine the overall diameter of the circle described. Then again, your car will not make it to 166+mph anyhow because it's not aerodynamic enough to do so, therefore your entire querry is moot.

Figure that if your vehicle is powerful enough - and with 400hp it should be - you'll be able to get close to 150.

100% correct

http://www.mustang123.com/calc...r.asp

Where it says "Rear axle gear ratio" you put your final drive. Where it says "Transmission gear ratio" you put your fifth-gear ratio.
