Default Help me diagnose my problem please.

So I have been getting this problem, where while I'm accelerating the car all of sudden chokes up and hesitates for a split second then comes back to normal. I thought it was pinging, but I've been told your suppose to actually hear a pinging sound from the motor if thats the case, but I don't. This happens randomly and happens maybe once or twice everytime I drive. Whatever it is, am I hurting my motor? The motor has 3000 miles on it.

Setup:

stock gsr head, gsr block, 81.25mm usdm itr pistons, acl bearings, intake, 2.5'' full exhaust, and stock ecu.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

check your timing.. make sure its around 16-18.

what fuel pump, injectors and regulator are you using?

its possible you have a dirty fuel filter too..

check your plugs, make sure they are gapped correctly.

so my problem doesn't sound like pinging does it, when you ping does the car choke up and hesitate for a split second and return to normal state? And by driving my car still with this happening, do you think i've casued any damage?

sounds like either fuel starvation via fuel delivery system. check the fuel pressure while accelerating and ifthere is no problem with the pressure check that the injectors are not clogged by looking at the spray pattern. Also it could be a misfire check condition of plugs (color) could be fouled resistance of wires resistace of the icm ignition coil and timing. other than that it could be ecu related, like not enough fuel. Last are there any mil's
