My past weekends event at Sebring.
Well, first off let me thank everyone who has helped me get the car ready and make this happen for me. BlueR had a big hand in this getting me the right parts in a very timely fashion. All the HC guys I spoke to who advised of the right parts combinations through their years of experience. My dad for being as patient with me as possible and taking time out of his day to make sure things where done right. Porsche Club of America for holding the event. Very well organized and very safe. Jeff for calling and giving the nudge to get on track. All of you guys who have supported me in getting this thing going from start to finish. All of the encouraging words you have given me have kept me going (in debt too...
) John at LHT for getting the car tuned even though he was preparing for NOPI. And lastly PIC for getting the sussy to me on time and giving advice for initial settings. Without you I don't think I would have had so much fun.
All in all I had a great time. Little sleep (maybe 4 hours) but that's ok, couple of Double shot espresso's took care of that. Sebring is a very fast and fun track. Has quiet a few technical sections that took some time, patience and courage to manuever. 2 blind corners (T1 and T17) took some getting used to, both are late apex's and both are blind. Thank god I had an instructor to show me the ropes of this track. Suprisingly it wasn't too hot, but hot enough. No rain all day which is amazing in FL at this time of year. I'm so hooked, I already signed up for another event with PCA at Sebring in November. Another note, I got bumped up to the next run group at the end of my second session. My instructor and event coordinator both agreed that I needed to move up and thus I did. Only difference is that I didn't have traffic holding me up.
Well, I guess I'll get on with some pics...
Here is the course for those who are not familiar.

I got a nice graphic for the car too.

Mah "crew" who came with trying to wake up. (We left at 4:45 am to be there for tech at 7)

My instructor giving me the run down before session 1. Look at me focus. LOL

Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!! (yes, for those who ask, we were allowed to wear short sleeves and shorts, though I did have my suit ready to go.

Entering the hot pits for the first session.

Another hot pit shot.

Us going at it on the first session.

I'll have some more up here in a few.

Yes sir, I've officially been "stretched"

Um, no issues performance wise. The car had a bit of understeer but I'm not sure if that's the car or the driver so I didn't change anything under I tune the driver more.

Great bunch. Everybody is calm and collective. Nobody doing stupid chit. Nobody holding traffic with no point bys. All in All I'll probably do most of my local DE events with them.

Good to see the car in action. Looks great.
I'm doing all the PCA events I can in my region. I find that they are no different than your experience. Very cool bunch of guys, no big egos, and tons of track time. Cheap too!!! (comparatively) Members pay only $285 for 2 days at RATL.

Your totally right. Older group of people with 0 ego. And your right to about the price. I paid $175 for a 1 day event. Any FL folks that want to get in on the action LMK and I'll put you in contact with the right people.
Thanks again for the pass seat, without that, the day would have never happened.

A few more pics until I can get all of them up.
This is T17, coming onto the front straight.

I'm not sure which corner this was from.

This is somewhere in the back section.

Bathroom break anyone?

We have all been waiting for this day with you Dave.
Was it everything you hoped it would be? </TD></TR></TABLE>
It was way more than I had ever hoped for.
I would recommend anyone out there questioning the price or if they should do it in their street car I have some advice. Screw the next mod your saving for, or that next toy that's not for your car. Take a break from all of that and register for an event. You will thank me for it.
