rsx turbo trouble??
my gf just bought a 05 rsx type s
and the guy before her put on a turbo kit
the thing is when the turbo spools up around 4k rpm's
when it gets to around 6k rpms it seems like the turbo cant go anymore
and the car just kinda jerks hard until you shift to the next gear
also got a check engine light and we ran the check engine
and it is running lean?
anyone know what i can do to help fix both these problems?

u need to tune ur air/fuel mixture the right way or eLse it wiLL be running Lean which means that not enough fueL is going into the engine, the engine wiLL get more air than before, which couLd by why that happens when ur at high RPM about to shift..having that happen wiLL cause ur pistons to break b/c of the heat and it wiLL scratch ur cyLinder waLL..but that just assumes onLy the pistons go bad....do u have bigger injectors? and a engine management system? what boost r u running? other mods to the car?

not necessarily. the conclusion is to know exactly what you are buying, or do your own turbo setup and do it right.
it sounds like you and your gf have no idea of the setup, and thats just bad news

I second that.

i figured it needed to be tuned but other than that the turbo was put on by another person
i dont know the set up or anything about it and if anything was upgraded interal wise
seems to me the guy slapped it on and put a turbo timer on it and that was it and called it a day

thats becuase it prbably is... most hondas are meant to be N/A imo. but you should take it to be tuned and make sure that intercooler is mounted upright

dude, if it is runnin lean dont floor it anymore. it feels like that at 6krpm because it's running lean, i wouldnt drive it till you get tuned that way hopefully you didnt mess any internals up.

I was noticing that too
u shouLd have done ur reasearch....and to the owner: throwing a turbo timer doesnt count as tuning!
