Which motor??
Ok I dont really know a whole lot about hondas yet, but i was woundering which is a better buy for the money. A d15b vtec, turbo. Or buy a B18c1, this motor would end up being non turbo. I dont really want to spend a **** load of cash on a B-series motor, and i figured a d15b vtec with a turbo would be decently fast. Please post what your thoughts are. thanks
more info and then people will be able to give you better info but i like the d15b, my friend has one in his car and it's soon to be turboed. what turbo are you getting if you get the d15?
are you taking into consideration all the wiring that comes aftewards, not that there's alot, but you get the idea. and mounts, if needed? is the turbo kit complete with lines and ic?
Wiring on the D15B and GSR will be almost the same...
You will need to buy a mount kit for the GSR, and you will need to shave down the drivers side mount on the D15B so you can clear the timing belt. Obviously the GSR would be more reliable because it will be stock.....
I choose GSR mainly because you wont have nearly as many problems.

oh, I thought the d15 came with turbo already.
Well, how many miles on each engine? Go for the most reliable one man. Done right, a turbo charged engine will be just as reliable as an all-motor engine. Though there can be setbacks, and people will tell you otherwise. So if you know what you're doing, go d15, since it will be cheaper, and you'll get the 'awe' factor. Otherwise, go with the other motor for cheapness, and off the shelf reliability. As long as the motor was not abused.
