What the expletive?! Smog Check with Intake?!
So yeah. My brother has a 95 civic, with an Injen Intake. It's CARB Legal. He got it smogged back in 04 when the sticker was still intact, but it's rubbed off since then. I took it to a smog-only station and he said he couldn't test it unless the CARB sticker was there.
Great, what the hell am I going to do? He bought the car used, doesn't have the box or original intake. I e-mailed Injen about this, they haven't e-mailed me back yet. I think they think i'm a little punkass kid trying to score a free CARB sticker. The first smog check paper even SHOWS the carb E.O.#, but the guy now says no.
Suggestions?

too bad you are in SD. there is a guy in Diamond bar that would pass it as long as it passes emissions of course.
but I am sure there is someone in ur area that will do this for you too.
or you could find a friend with a carb legal intake and borrow it.

I had to do my test only about a month ago.. I went to Garden Grove with a friend of mine and got it done by this Vietnamese guy -- I couldn't understand them speaking Vietnamese, but my friend says that guy will pass any car for $200 on top. I can askk some more, I don't know if this is true or not ?

nearest cross streets are lemon and Valley I think it is actually walnut not diamond bar. but the guy is legit. he doesn't ask for 200 dollars to pass any car. he actually did do an inspection and looked at the engine. but I believe he just doesn't know honda engines all that well. so if it doesn't look out of place he will most likely pass it as long as it passes emissions. H22 would probly look really out of place inside of a civic since it is so huge.
but yeah this guy is legit no extra money required. I wouldn't deal with those fools that ask you for 200 dollars to pass any car. they will eventually get caught.
