It depends on your power goals but a turbo'ed y8 will provide a lot more power for the money. That plus repair to a blown y8 will be a lot cheaper.

Plus if you just slap on a turbo, with no tune, you will probably blow it up. Its cheaper to replace.

Def on the turbo! you will be looking at $1500 tops as supposed to $5000 for the swap.

^^^^ not all true , i got a full b16a2 swap and pieced a turbo kit ( w/tuning and Neptune**) together for 6k

turbo D would be cool , but it all depends what you want in the future. B series have alot more potential ( obviously ), and if you decided to get even like 400 hp out of the D plan on buying a new tranny every couple of months

If you're thinking about boosting your y8 then go there for plenty of good info related to turbo D-series motors. There's plenty of threads here too that answer the same question you just asked so look around.

It all depends on the budget, but a properly put together D-series turbo can be an easy 13-second car whereas you'll have to pay a lot more with B-series motors to go that fast.

...? I said that turbocharging a D-series engine was a better idea than swapping to a B-series engine, noob. What posts are you reading? There are more than a few 9-second D-series Hondas, by the way, but there are FAR more 9-second B/H/K-series

B-series is better for big power or small power on a big budget, D-series is awesome for small power on a small budget
