Default Anyone Ever Skip Teeth On The Crank Gear?

After I installed some RC 310cc injectors into my B20Z2 build and went for a test drive my Civic has been running like sh*t. It started after I was running down the highway and got on it. Started bucking and surging really bad and didn't want to do anything past 5000rpms.
So the next day I decided to check the timing and placed the crank on top dead center. Looked up at the car gears and seen that both where no straight up like they should. Both marks where sitting at about 9:30/10:00.
So is it possible to have skipped a tooth or two on the crank gear? Has anyone ever had this happen and what did they do? I am just going to buy a new timing belt and set every thing back to the right timing spot.
