PLS HELP... need advice (noise, ITR exhaust, paint)
sup guys, i know i have a civic, but thought id ask this in the ITR forum...
have 3 questions...
first off, i have 97 ek hatch, and i am planning to do some improvements over the summer...
but i just wanted to know if there was anything wrong with my car/ or if there was anything i can do at the moment..
1. my car is making a vibrating noise (like an empty metal pan)?? from the gearbox or tranny area... my short shifter has gotten really loose, need to adjust it, but im not sure if its the shifter or my tranny... cause the vibrating noise is heard only as the car vibrates... anybody know what this is?
2. i have a friend who can hook me up with an ITR exhaust system... the whole 2.25 piping with muffler for a real good price... but my other friend is telling me that its no good and i'll feel no difference in sound/performance...hes telling me to get a catback exhaust with 2.5 piping...
does anybody know if this is true or does anybody have itr exhaust in their cars right now?... how is it? and how is the sound?
3. got into an accident week ago... (current color silver)
should i paint my car champ white or charchol?
thanks guys

1. Double check all the bolts and nuts on the linkage. Maybe it's touching one of your tunnel heat shields?
2. ITR exhaust kicks *** for what it is. But I am not sure if the muffler fits a hatch.
3. Champ white. Only way to fly.
That's Mike M. (aka Pete Rose) in the lumberjack bubble vest.

you probably wont notice a gain in hp, but it will sound better. I am no expert on exaust, but I have heard that a 2.5 in exaust is more for turbo and SC applications. I could be wrong. As far as painting goes, I would keep it the stock color. The amount of $ that you would spend to get a "decent" paint job would be astronomical and it still wont be as good as a factory job, IE overspray, to thick in places, missing some spots. I think the silver looks great personally. The money you save could be put towards a nice B16 swap

Yea it's nasty. It was a customer of the shop. We were at Topspeed at the time.
It's crazy rice. 95 GSR painted some whack yellow.
But at least he had the motor to back it up!
Sleeved w/ fully built internals, ported head, JRSC@10psi, etc. etc.
But bottom line is, it's rice. LOL.

for the guy repainting his hatch...try Imola Orange (I think thats what it's called...), it is the color of the NSX Type-S Zero in JDM land, AKA the Zanardi NSX in the US. It is an awesome color and one of the most distinctive Honda OEM paints.
