Oil Light on when idling
Could be a faulty oil pressure sending unit, though I've never heard of this being a problem on the rsx, or any honda for that.
so the oil light is only on at idle? when you start driving it goes away?
it only makes sense that if you in fact have plenty of oil and good oil pressue, the sensor must be screwed up.

How do you KNOW you have good oil pressure? Did you check it with an external guage? An idling engine will pump less than one at higher RPMs, and that would eplain why the oil light goes out. If you did do a check with a real pressure guage, never mind. If not, I suggest you park it and get the problem corrected unless you want to blow the engine.

Acura didn't say anything when you took it there and they checked the oil pressure because of on oil light at idle? Something doesn't make sense here.

its very simple, remove the cover under the steering column (there are 2 **** things, twist them 90 degrees any direction and the panel should come righ off)
now lay on your back and look up, its hard to find but there are 2 screws that keep the cluster in place. remove those screws. now reach from underneath and push out the cluster. not too far, the harnesses are still connected, disconnect the 2 harnesses and out it comes. once you locate everything, its a 2 minute job.
replacing the light may prove very difficult, however.
