alright guys im in a really bad situation and i was wondering if any of u honda guys know how to help, i have a 91 civic hatch, and my hood latch broke a few weeks ago and all was there was the cable and the silver peice that hooks in the latch, but the silver peice broke off, so all i had was the snapped cable sticking out, the car went into the garage for a new timing belt and the mechanics mkust of slammed the hood shut and i hooked some kind of jimmy rig up to pull the cable, but the hood seems to be stuck i put all my energy to pull this cable but no luch the hood is not popping, i need t6o open this so i can run a new cable and latch,.....NE help guys

 

try pushing the hood down right where the latch is when you pull the cable (much easier with two people)

Mine does this sometimes....have someone push and pull on the hood while you try unlatching it...Eventually it will let go...
