******** HELP!!!! Trouble with my B16 CRX ***********
When I finished the swap and first started the motor it ran great. It started running worse. I checked and double checked all of the vacuum connections, then it would only rev to 4000 then it would backfire and sputter never getting over 4000 RPM. Then I replaced a broken TPS. Now it wont even start. It also only sometimes throws codes. The ECU light just stays on constantly. Any help would be greatly appericated.
Do you remember what those other codes are? On the older B16's, sometimes they have distributor problems where a screw is coming loose, rotor or ignitor needs to be replaced.
Did you check your TPS voltage once you installed a new one?

I had that same problem it was my second oxygen sensor was not wired correctly to the ecu. It was like it was load with gas and spluttering like crazy and it wouldn't past like 4000rpm's. Recheck the wiring from the ecu to the o2 sensor. Hope this helps.
It stays on, I was wondering if that was a code 0. Like an ECU problem. But sometimes it will throw a code 7 or a code 6.

If the ecu light stays on it means the ecu is ****!! And even though you have a bad ecu sometimes it will detect other things that are wrong and throw those codes too. But i say try another ecu and see if it will help.
I just talked to Steve from Hondamotorsonline (straight up good guy) and I am sending my ECU back to get it replaced. What should I check in regards to the fuel problem?
I checked the connections to the ECU and the second O2 sensor and it wasnt pinned right, I fixed it but it still wont start.
