Ok, My buddy just got a H22 into his civic 00, And The H22 came off a 1996 Rolled prelude Vtec. Well after he bought the parts for the swap he put them and and he was starting the car, it started. BUT after he let it run for a while (not to rev on cold motor) He started to rev it but, the RPM would not go pass 3,500 after 3.5 rpm's the motor would choke (start to die). So he bought a new distrubeder hoping that would fix the problem. But it didnt, well after a few days. He started her up and drove around the block. The car ran fine and Fast allthow Vtec was not working, but after driving for 5 min's (the motor heated up to normal point) the Rpm would not go past 3.5... So before taking it to a shop and spending alot of money i was hoping some one had same problem and could help us. Thanx for any help some one can give.

when i swapped my 98 hatch with a gsr that was happening. but mine was dying at 6500...try changing the ecu...that was my problem. also i had some sensors unplugged. good luck

 

Well it has Obd1 with original computer, i tryed 00 civic ex ecu... same problem...

Anyways i got the code from the ecu i will post em as soon as i find that paper.
