Default Relay help.......(foglights no workie)

I just installed my Depo foglights in my 92 VX. I intalled them just as this write up says: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1352749

However the lights dont come on. I dont know how to tell if it is the relay or the switch. If I pull the relay off and jumper the wire the lights come on so I know that it is atleast wired that much right.

The second problem is that the cheap peice of **** switch that came with it does not light up no matter what.

Any tips on how to figure out what is the problem here. Thanks in advance for helping me figure this out without just kicking them in.

Get yourself a multi meter or even a test light and start tracing out your power. Start from the supply going TO the switch and go all the way to the light.
Test for power going into the switch
Test power coming out
Test for power going to the +12VDC side of the relay's coil.
Have a good ground on the other side of the relay's coil?
If everything checks out fine make sure your relay is wired up correctly. I'm willing to bet you messed up wiring it up.
Run a hot and a ground wire to the relay's coil and see if it clicks. If it does it's your wiring. Double and tripple check it.

Hummmmm. Good point TO the switch. That would be why I am not getting a light on in the switch. I will triple check that power to the switch and go from there. Thanks

I figured it out. It was a bad switch. I didnt know that there was a fuse in there. And I totally second that those switches are SHI#Y!
