Default ITR into EG pls help me clear a few things up

hello and before you start saying why havent you done a search i have and as im from uk and we dont have cx's or gsr's im having trouble translating these to their uk equivelents and i just wanna clear a few things up

Firstly a few things you should no about the car it is a 1995 EG5 hatch it came with a d16z6 from new its now got a b16a2 i used the b16a2's engine harness with my original engine to ecu harness as they were both wired up for vtec and both equipped with a 4 wire o2 sensor. i then removed the stok ecu and replaced it with the one out of the dohc now i want to fit a uk itr lump whick i beieve is the b18c5 187bhp obd2? please confirn. and was there a obd1 itr produced in uk if so wat engine code is this ?

1 WIRING (pls note i want to remain running an obd1 ecu) will the engine harness that will come on the b18c5 obd2 plug it into my original conectors on my obd1 ecu to engine harness OR do i have to get the complete harnessfrom the obd2 b18c5 and then run a jumper to allow it to be obd1

2Mounts will i need any itr mounts as ive allready got a full set of b16a2 mounts?

3 as im goin to be using the b16a2 gearbox i wont need any shiftlinkage or drivshafts/hubs correct? and will the speed sensor and reverse light switch sensor conectors from the b18c5 engine harness plug onto my gearbox that started of on an obd1 b16a2

everything from the b16 should bolt right up (mounts, tranny, sensors, etc.)
unfortunately the itr (b18c5) was produced as a ob2, so there is no obd1 version of it. being that you have a b16a2 which is a obd2, the harnesses should be the same as the b18c5.

i'm going by how they are here in the states, not sure about the UK.

sorry, the b16a2 is obd2 here in the states. but i can confirm the rest, everything off the itr will fit. just would have to change the harness, or pick up a conversion harness.

yes the harness is the same, there's a link in the faq that explains the obd2 install into a eg hatch.

he was saying that over here the b16a2 is obd2, no where did he state the EG is obd2.

just get an obd1 ecu and you'll be fine, the wiring differences are really really simple, it's a simple change of a few wires and it's all illustrated in the faq.

You guys are arguing about the stupidist ****...

Ok, so your Civic is OBD1, and the B16 IN your Civic is OBD1... right? Cool.

Now, since you already have an OBD1 B16 in your car, you won't need any extra parts. Here is what you do. Remove the B16 from your car. Take off the distributor and entire harness from the B16, you will use this on the ITR motor. (You may need to change the injectors too, but thats it.) Install the OBD1 distributor, wire harness and injectors to the ITR motor. You will have one open plug by the crankshaft on the timing belt side, thats for the Crank Position Sensor, and this is unused in an OBD1 application. Now, drop it back in! DONE. Thats it!

Now since the ITR was never made in OBD1, you will have to use a chipped ECU. The EASIEST way to do this, is to contact Kenjii or Phearable on this board, or via their respective websites, and buy an ITR chipped ECU, however, if you want to do modifications and tuning, you might want to consider going with a standalone system of sorts, such as Hondata or AEM or the cheaper alternatives, (although more of a pain for initial setup) Crome or Uberdata.

Edit: For all this help, I expect a place to stay should I ever come to the UK.
