Default hurricane under my h00d

okay okay this is pretty embarassing. I had this extreme wire tuck done as you can see and now i can't even figure out what to do, Im running rich as hell, my injectors stay open with Key on ignition, my IAT is not wired correctly, im throwing an 02 sensor code also, This all happened after a car wash LLOOLLLL, But seriously i need to fix this **** right:

Problem is i dont know if i should use a d16z6 harness or a dpfi harness and send it to rywire, Which would be quickest and cheapest. The harness going to the ecu from the under dash is all cut up so id obviously have to match up wires like an idiot for countless hours,Ahha **** this blows ***.

Options:

Get a d16z6 harness
Buy a dpfi harness and re wire it myself again VERY CAREFULLY
Send dpfi harness to rywire for obd1 vtec transformation.

D15bvtec btw.

next time send it to a pro mang.

good luck send it to rywire and get a new main harness. less of a headache in my opinion.

if you're not in a hurry to drive the car around, send the harness to rywire. If you're in a rush and need the car done asap, looks like you're gonna have to bite the bullet and do it yourself

damn i have school and work, i looked on ebay for a harness premade so i can just buy it instead of going to buy a stock harness and shipping and waiting a while and blah blah, Im going to buy a 10 dollar dpfi harness tommorow and expletive around with it since i dont work tommorow.

Should i turn this into a project thread since im recieving some parts in the mail next week *sidemarkers, rear fog light, lower it another inch*. Im sure the world doesn't care though haha.

will a d16z6 harness just plug in , wait no shock tower harness is diffnt expletive. life sucks\\

---
Does anyone know how quick rywire will send me the harness back.

See exactly dude, i dont know if it's my wiring that affects this or just a slow *** motor, but my dpfi was faster than this new motor, i have great compression, im guessing wiring, Tps sensor is probably wired wrong haha

depends what shipping you pay for. I think you have to pay for the return shipping before hand?

Another vote for Rywire... +1

from the sound of it, you have a developing nightmare on your hands. Rywire is a good first step to making this right lol

Good luck!

Got my harness made today

cut off all the wires from th ecu, because they were messy, so now im gonna do it right and pin them in the ecu plugs correctly instead of using electrical tape and twisting them on hahha.

Cleaned the car all around today, Not so in the engine bay, but i did what i could, I wish i knew ho to wire tuck .

Oh and run the two vtec wires.

Im just worreid about the massacre where th ecu is located, there are like THREE RED WIRES IN THE SAME PLUG, WHICH IS WHICH. WTF.

That sucks.

How did it get that bad in the first place? I've done a few OBD0 to OBD1 conversions and I've never had to go through all this crap.

You shouldn't have cut all those wires at the ECU. And you should be using the stock harness for the car with the addition of a conversion harness, unless you were really good with wiring, which it looks like you are not.

Good luck with everything. I'm glad I don't have to go through that rats nest to figure out what's going on.

Yeah man when i was first doing my mpfi obd1 swap i was excited so i half assed everything, and once i started throwing codes i just threw on some wire and tape and ran random sensors to the ecu through the fender door gap and 2 days ago i decided to go to a carwash, and you can guess what happened with the water and exposed wiring. ahhaha , Yeah im using the original Dpfi harness, and im just converting it to obd1 once again, im trying to do this clean and slow this time. I had to cut it at the ecu because it was a hugemess of electrical tape, sticky and ahhh horrible.

HOpefully i finish sometime soon... Im having trouble remembering if the 4 colored wires at the injectors were ground or power, and where the yellow with black stripe wires went to...im thinking ti was a 12v source. time to search..
