Default Is the HFP suspension really worth it and does it handle alot better with it ?

I am picking up my si this week but i was thinking about getting the hfp suspension instead of tein s-techs because i dont want to void the warrenty. I know it drops it about an inch or so would this really make a difference in handle that i would notice or should i just get the tein s-techs and drop it lower.

I'd kinda like to know more about this as well. Worth the money? Sure it looks better, but if I have to go over speed bumps diagonally...well...

My car with HFP suspension and 18" HFP wheels
Handles wonderful, I have H&R on my other car and this handles just as good and is smoother.

warrantys are not voild even if you buy springs out of oem dealership

but yes droping it will feel a bit more jumpy on bumps...

SLiCkNiCk did your honda feel alot more bumpy after springs?

i have a eibach pro kit lowering springs , 1.0 drop front and 1.2 on back

in case the above posts werent clear...

Dealer installed HFP = Warranty covered
anything non-dealer installed = Not covered, and any damage caused by aftermarket parts, or improperly installed hfp parts, not covered.

It had the suspension put on when I bought it, so I don't know what the stock ride feels like. Like I said before, I have Koni struts and H&R sport springs on my other car, and this is much more smooth. Also the HFP has different struts.

It IS covered though if the DEALER installs it improperly, which is entirely possible.

frankly the hfp kit isnt worth it, unless you just want something to give you a "lower" look.

performance/dollar wise you could probably get something better.

well if u look at the hfp kit on the ep3 and the performance difference it provides
if the hfp kit on the fg can match that improvement, i'd say it is worth it
especially since it's covered under warranty

JUST A BIT OF INFORMATION OR LACK THERE OF THAT I GOT FROM HONDA.
HONDA HAS BEEN AND IS STILL NOTORIOUS FOR THE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE WITH THEIR STRUTS, THEY HAVE ALWAYS USED MCPHERSONS, AND THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO BLOW OUT, SO I GOT CURIOUS THE OTHER DAY WHILE I WAS AT WORK, SINCE I WORK IN A HONDA PARTS DEPARTMENT I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA, AND ASKED IF THE HFP STRUTS WERE MADE BY THE SAME MANUFACTURER AS THE STOCK FACTORY OEM STRUTS AND THEY WOULDNT TELL ME WHO MADE THEM, OR IF THEY WERE MADE BY THE SAME MANUFACTURER OR NOT.
BECAUSE OF THE UNWILLINGNESS TO GIVE ONE OF THEIR OWN DEALERS THIS INFORMATION I WOULD STRONGLY DISADVISE GETTING THE HFP SUSPENSION.

ALL SHE SAID WAS "FOR ALL LEGAL PURPOSES ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT WE ARE GONNA SAY HONDA MAKES THEM", SEEMS A BIT SHADY TO ME.
