Default Which cam gear for my swap

Hello, I have a 1993 honda civic EX, i'm having horrible problems with putting it in time correctly. Right now I have the dizzy clocked all the way back for it to even some what idle. Its a y7 block with a y8 head. Should I try to use the original z6 cam gear on the y8 cam. Maybe that will correct it. Any input is much apprectated

are you sure the cam timing is correct?did you align the cam gear with it's marks and the crank gear to the oil pump marker?then rotate the engine a couple times and recheck?

i wasn't sure of your intentions-thought maybe you were going for the "i've got a super rare JDM part.....but i'm willing to let it go for [insert price that's about four times it's actual worth]" deal.
