noooooo. i useto have the 512s, unless your absolutely poor get the proxes. the 512s is bearly even borderline all-season sport. i still loved them regardless though, because for the price they were good. but if i were to buy a tire again if i could afford it, i would gets omething better. proxes 4 i think will be a good choice

You are in Maryland, so you can get by with all seasons instead of dedicated winter tyres.
The Falken Ziex 512 is probably the best buy out there. It will provide surprising amounts of dry grip, it sheds water very easily, and it will manage through the little bit of snow and ice you have in Maryland. It is not as good in snow and ice as many other tyres...but in our part of the world we can sacrifice this for better dry grip.
There are two serious tradeoffs in buying the Ziex 512, in exchange for its incredibly low price. First off, as the tyres wear, they will get noisy. They will get as noisy as the vaunted Azenis, in fact. Second, they will almost certainly "feather" as they wear down. For most people, we can put up with this and it's a fair exchange for the very low price.
If you want a better tyre, especially if you have 16" wheels, think about the Pirelli P Zero Nero. Very good all weather tyre, wonderful performer, but much pricier than the Falken Ziex 512.

well I have decieded to run a ultra high performance tire in the spirng and summer on rsx type s wheels form an 06 and my stock wheels w/ all seasons in the winter and fall. it is just personal choice i guess
I'm in love with Toyo's. I have T1Rs on the Si and I had T1Ss on my old del Sol. I beat my SI down at the Tail of the Dragon last weekend and it held onto the road like a dream. My Del Sol hugged corners on Italian roads for 3 years with Toyo T1Ss. Toyo owns me.
Just because a tire company make a super sticky tire doesn't mean they make a good all-season tire. I would look at the Kumho ASX or the Proxes-4.
