lowering my DA question
Hey, i love does slammed DA, but its really hard to drive thought due to it being practacly on the ground, so i wanna lower my integra with almost tucking in my wheels and not worrying about scrapping my car, anyone done this and have a good expierence with it, how low did u guys make ur car thats a ease to drive and less worries to scrape, what shocks and how much if u mind telling me, I know lowering a car will scape no matter what but i wont it lowered to the limit where the least scrapping would occour at the same time its nice
Yea you kinda want the best of both worlds if you slam the car its gonna scrape theres really no way around it unless you put an air suspension on it and i doubt you wanna do that
Sounds like you want the dumped look w/o the problems, Like a previous post said this will not happen w/o airbags. I would recomend getting some nice shocks and coilovers. Lower it a good 2'' and have a nice smooth ride. You will thank me later.
I had mine dropped over two in.
at the end they whole exhaust pipe was flat due to all the scrapes and thank god that I never knocked off my oil pan or tranny case.

i remember when i bought my da, that thing was pretty much on the ground. it was tunking with stock 14". i guess what you should do is go on to g2ic.com and search for what suspenion options.

what's weak about DA's is that their body sits naturally lower, because of the crossmember. it makes it hard to go really low. when i drove my car right when i bought it. it scraped on the road, but that was because i had blown shocks. right now i'm at about a 2.5, it's decent 1 finger wheel gap, but i was at 3" and the only thing i was scraping on was speed bumps.
to tell u the truth, theres really no way to avoid scrapes. u should already accept that fact if you're decided on lowering a car. my car is only lowered 1" on 15's and i still scrape every now and then. my advice is 16" rims lowered 2" on 45 or 50 series tires...
