Default Intake Whistle?

I tried searching to no avail, so don't hate. Just wondering about the whistle noise I'm getting with the aftermarket intake on my 97 JDM DB8 Type R. It had the basic HKS add on filter/pipe kit when I bought it and it made the whistle noise, now I have a tsuchinoko style carbon fiber intake and it still whistles. Any ideas? It's not a big deal but it is kind of annoying.

On the Vafc it shows that it only whistles at 23% throttle, so just either go below that or above that. It whistles with the stock intake box too, you just cant hear it as good. If you take the resonator off the stock intake box and just run the filter box, you will hear a slight whistle.

my ITR does it, my GSR does it! There is nothing to be concerned about. Its simply the way the air from your intake hits the throttle body. Just as with the right about of air either being sucked or blown through your mouth you have the ability to whistle, your throttle body acts the same way.

So nothing to be concerned about, huh. Well if it wasn't so damn annoying, I wouldn't care but it almost sounds like something is wrong. So getting an aftermarket TB will help out a little? I have a Skunk2 68MM laying around, would that make a difference? Thanks for being gentle with your replies.

I have the stock intake on my ITR and it still whistles. So no, that doesn't help all the time.

I have had a Feels intake, Apexi filter on a short ram pipe, stock airbox with blitz drop in and currently a BMC CDA intake and they all whistled even though the last 2 are enclosed intakes. I love the whistle from it...I wish it was louder!!!

I love that noise, you must have bought the wrong car if you dont like the b-series whistle.

My intake has more whistle than a buck toothed redneck drivin' down the interstate with his head out the window and his mouth open.

I just deal with it.

How can it be classed a problem when its completely natural for the intake to whistle and they all do it, its just you hear it more with some types of intakes over others

whistling means that the intake is working.
if you don't like the sound, put the stock back on.
