Default anyone have any tricks to removing govenors....

hey all, I'm having a problem with my govenor. I have a jdm b18c obd2 itr swap, My speedo has been apart and likes to chinse out sometimes, I dont really have the immidiate funds to replace the cluster as of yet so I was wondering if anyone had any quick fix ideas? Sometimes the speedo chinses out say if im comming onto it and doing about 150kph the speedo will jump to 200+, the car will hit the govenor and cut out...which is pretty gay to say the least... Basically I'm just wondering without re-chipping/dyno tuning again is it possible to remove? any help/ideas would be greatly appriciated thanks.

Any of the programmable ECU type things would work (Hondata, AEM EMS, etc.). You don't need to dyno it or anything, just plug it into the laptop and select "off" for that choice. Isn't a cluster like $120-150 though? Might be easier to just fix it off the bat.

I'm glad you know what he's talking about. I got that you have a speed limiter and that ur guage cluster is ***'d up?

you could also just get a different ECU.

No, he's saying his speedo "chise's" out. Which means, I think, that it goes on the fritz.
