Default Just Recieved Spoon OE Lip from JDMshit.com

I was wanting to know how some people put their lip on? When I recieved the lip, I was pissed off because they bend the lip in order to put it into the box. When I seen the box, I knew it wasn't gonna look good when I take it out. But I tried it on after it sat for awhile and it kinda worked its way out, but there is still a place when it was folded. How are some ways to put on so it will stay on without putting tons of screws in it. Just wanting some more opinions before I put it on. I'll post some pics. when I install the Tein lowering springs and the Password:JDM foglights ( Hopefully this weekend if possible.)

Put it out in the sun and it should straighten out real good. As far as mounting it, use double sided tape and screws.

Screws in the bottom and side. Have a buddy hold it in the desired place and drill your screws!

Ha! my buddy got a lip from them too and said the same thing. it was rolled up in a little box. they said put it out in the sun and it would fix it, but it never did fit right. they need to let people know that they send you crap rolled up in a little box that you can't put on right away you have to play with it in the sun to try to fix it. his lip eventually ended up falling off going to Atlanta even though he used the double sided tape and screws. JDM **** lips

If you're buying a knock off lip at a fraction of the cost of the real version, you shouldn't expect a perfect fit. Newman has stated this himself, more than once.
Your friend should have spent more time securing it properly. 2 of my friends track with their JDMshit.com Spoon style lips, and have no issues, even after bumping the guides numerous times on track day.

I got nothing but respect for them. Yea my lip came bent as well, all their lips are like that. It's shipped out to you like that so that YOU save money on shipping.

As for the bend, I heated mine up with a hairdryer for 15min & it was good to go.
Here it is all paint matched & mounted

i purchased two of these spoon poly lips and both fitted perfectly. i already expected it to be in a small box since its polyurethane. i laid mines out in the sun for an hour and waalaa, it went back to its original form. i put it on with the supplied double sided tape and put two screws on each end of the lip. the next thing ima do is fab two small brackets for the middle to bolt to the bumper for a secure fit. jdmsh1t gets a big thumbs up from me!

Yeah, I figured since I spent $200 on a Spoon lip, it would be perfect.....Hell No!!! But I don't wanna knock JDMshit or nothing but they could at least put it on there website that it is bent and will needed to be left out in the sun. I prob. wouldn't of bought it if i knew that. Oh well, hopefully it will get better as the days go on. I'll post up some pics. as soon as I get all of it on. I'll keep ya'll posted......

Ya I bought their SiR lip and it was bent. It wasn't a big deal at all and it straightened out within the time it took me to get the bumper off. What was a problem is that the lip didn't just "fit" on there and line up a certain way. You have to eyeball it to get it centered so mine didn't come out perfect. I'm still happy with it overall though, especially for the price. Of course this is a different lip but it still came bent like yours, and it's no big deal. It is a non-issue.
