Default H22 Head on H23 block?

Has anybody ever seen one of these frankies. I've heard that a turbocharged H22 is a bad idea and that the combo engine, turbocharged, would be good. Any thoughts?

Default Re: H22 Head on H23 block? (fullmoon)

my buddy did this. so this info might not b the exact truth. but according to him, the H22 and H23 block r identical. the only difference is the head (vtec vs non) and the bigger displacement of the H23. although the H23 has lower compression. he used the H22 pistons on the H22 rods on the H23 crank if i remember correctly. bolted on the H22 head and drove off.
