ok, it looks like the plug may be different than the other plug on the driver side, think that might effect it?

here a picture of the plug im having trouble with. Looks like it from another car cause the driver side is the factory one. Ive checked the wires and they seem to be ok, but not sure why its dimmer than the other one.

Whats the black wire hanging off connected to? Take the electrical tape off and check the connections.

i checked the connections their fine, i switch 2 of them and that makes the high beams on all the time, they look fine when they on high, but i switch the wires back and its back to the low being dim. the black wire coming off to the side i have no idea, the ground runs in and connects then splices out to the side

going back to grounding, try running that black wire from the harness to the chassis and see if that helps.

and did you install that harness? its not an oem one, so make sure they are wired correctly

ill try regrounding it, but heres some more info on the problem to better understand.
running on low beam the driver side headlight is fine, the passenger side headlight is dim, when you cut to high beam the drivers side goes to high , BUT the passenger side cuts off completely and no light comes out, cut back to low and it comes back on dim.

mine did this, it was a fuse.

i would check the fuses.

i also have projectors on mine for now (i know they suck) and one headlight is dimmer than the other because of how they are wired in.

I am having a problem like yours. My high beam wire is loose so that is why my high beam doesn't work. But then the headlights will be working and then dim. It looks like I am flashing the headlights. If I were you I would get some new wire, and redo the wiring and see if that helps at all. And clean inside the headlight harness.
