Default Rust on flywheel and pressure plate..........

I recently took off my fidanza flywheel and ACT pressure plate and the surface which contacts the disc is all covered in rust. When i parked the prelude in the garage before i removed it i had drove throught heavy rain and deep puddles. Can i just treat this like the normal brake discs rust you get after it rains or wash your car and assume it will go aways once the clutch rubs on the surface? I sprayed rust eater on em to keep anymore rust from forming.

if its just surface rust you can run it through a parts cleaner that has a spray brush. Make sure ALL rust is removed. Just the thought of rust bits getting all in my tranny give me chills.

You shouldn't have spray rust cleaner.

It is normal for there to be surface rust. Just check under your car to make sure the dust cover is on the bottom of the tranny.
