Default ITR suspension on EG Civic [coupe]

i was just wondering cause im a big fan of cars that handle. after i put my LS in my civic dx[no power steering, but a/c!] i was gonna make that bitch handle like its on rails. but...when i put brakes on it the other day i noticed that she didnt have any sway bars! i knew that civics and integras had the same geometry, but i didnt know that they didnt have sway bars. now this brings me to my next point. would integra type R suspension [lower and upper control arms, sway bars, cradle, pretty much everything but springs and dampers] fit on an EG civic coupe?

oh alright, but what about the mounts for the Sway bar bushings and the control arm lengths and stuff..thats what i was thinking because [i think] that integra control arms are longer to get an increased camber curve under compression, but im not sure cause ive never measured or looked under a civic and an integra on a lift at the same time or anything

You'd probably have better luck posting this in the Civic forum.

But yeah, it will all interchange.

Stock ITR suspension is fantastic, I don't know wtf you're talking about (to 94rs). Everything will bolt directly up, as already stated. For the shocks and springs, the only thing different that you'd need are the rear lower control arms. For the swaybars, you need front and rear lower control arms that have the hole for the swaybar endlinks, which don't necessarily have to be ITR (LS or GSR LCAs will work, for example, and some of the Civic ones will too, though I don't remember which models). For the rear swaybar, it'd also be a good idea to get a subframe reinforcement thing, either the Beaks or ASR setup (that's to prevent the bar from ripping your subframe, which is weaker on the Civic than on the Integras).

Edit: Reading over the rest of that, other than the holes for the bars, there aren't any significant differences in any of the arms (you said the thing about lengths for camber or whatever, though without any justification apparently...). You don't need an adjustable camber anything, especially if the car is street driven.

Stock ITR suspension will definately be an upgrade, but there are plenty of other better options.

I would say get hard suspension bushings, a good set of shock/spring, used sway bars from integra and that should get the job done. Should cost you pretty much the same as a complete ITR swap ($1000)

$200 is ridiculous?

The stock ITR suspension is better than most of the low end crap that many people buy and put on their car for "bling", thats for sure.

Though it might not look as "cool" stock ITR stuff will handle better than a lot of JDM blingy bullshit. It really is one of the best factory-made suspensions available.

<--- Huge proponent of OEM ITR suspension, just in case anyone can't tell

I paid $125 for my ITR shocks, springs, LCA's. Can't get better bang for the buck than that.

That's really an extraordinary price. LCAs usually go for $75-100 alone.

Things that some of you guys are missing out is, ITR suspension is good not only because the spring/shock combo matches, but is all the components that act together as a good system.

I seriously dont think ITR shock/spring alone is any better than my KYB/H&R set.
to OP, if you want to do it, do it right. Dont do half of it and expect full results.
