ITR Center Console... HELP.
It's a rainy day, so I decided to install this JDM shift boot I've had forever. Took the armrest out, two screws in the rear on each side, popped up the cover under the E-Brake, took those two screws out. Took out the armrest. Now to the center console, took out the two screws on each side. Gave a tug, and it was still in there pretty good. Took the ashtrey out, removed EVERY SINGLE SCREW in there (Had to get inventive with a few), still won't come out... Got on here, did some searching for about 20 minutes, and didn't find anything that helped.
So now I'm stuck... Can anyone offer any assistance to this? I'm in no rush, the car's sitting in the garage nice and dry, I've got no where else to be.
Any help is appreciated.

All I can suggest is taking a look at this and see if there are any screws you missed.

There are only 5 skrews that you need to take out.
1 in the ashtray
2 on either side (close to the gas pedel on drivers side, same spot on passenger side)
2 large phillips skrews by the parking brake where you have to pop that rectangular tab up to take the armrest off.
That's it.
Grab the end closest to the parking brake and lift up. Where the section near the radio of the console meets the rest of the center section, there are two tabs so that it pulls tight together .... this takes a bit of pressure to pop out.
The whole process is a pain in the ***.
Hope that helps.

Yeap, got all of those screws out... So all I have to do is give it a good pull? Oh I'm good at that.
I was just getting a bit nervous, I was pulling on it, and it was flexing the dash with it, so I let off.
I'm going to go another round with it, hopefully nothing breaks.

take out the ashtray man there are two screws in there behind it...the two screws on the side you have to pull <---------> to get the console loose
Well glad I didn't Hercules it...
I pulled the Faux CF Panel out (Finally, those clips were in there), took those two screws out, and everything came out easy as could be from there.
I'll take a picture for future reference.

This is all that was holding me up... These two screws behind the Faux CF Panel. Just had to give the whole assembly a tug, and it came out, just took some persuading.
The panel covers them up... Here's where they are...

With everything removed...

All back together... Got a chance to clean all the panels individually, lot of crap built up, hidden away from sight. By the way, Lexol makes your shift boot look nice.

Nice dry garage FTW!

Well that was a good way to waste some time. Thanks for the help guys.

I did the same mod (JDM Shift boot) But my dumb *** broke the clips on the faux cf part sorrounding the boot itself, so the book doesn't stay up there they way it should - I had to do some hillbillyrigging with some wire but I got it up there nice and tight,. ^_^
