my turbo plans comming together
ok so this is my ic piping i am going for. its only for a single cam motor with a t3 and the ic piping is 3" wich sucks but i think i will still be fine. just a little more lag. not like my car is a drag car or anything so all in all what do you guys think of this kit. i personaly hate the look of the bov but will sacrifice for my car to run sooner and i can save some cash. i also am in the presses or prechasing a t3/hf manifold w/external wastegate flange. and a trade for a t3 turbo brand new. for injectors i was going to get me some 450cc from and 1g eclipse. and for the time being a vafc and low boost settings till i can afford a better tuning source for abd0 so what do you think. and probly some ebat 35/38mm wastegate.

You need to do some more research before buying turbo parts...
that pipping isn't going to fit your car and you will need to modify it alot 3" is way to big I wouldn't even go larger than 2.5...2" is more than enough and even better for low boost, just get some madrel bends and use a grinder or chop saw and make your own charge piping even if you can't weld you can just use some couplers to join them and for BOV dont buy ebay crap either get a real greddy, HKS, or tial or just use a 1G DSM, you can usually get them with the pipe from the car and just use couplers to install it...i don't really like the HF T3 combo most T3 seem to big for that T25 or DSM turbos are usually good but you can find used D seires cast manis for usually under $150 shipped, Hell I think i sold mine for $80 a while back...I'd even make you a log mani for fairly cheap if you wanted
ebay wastegates are ok just need to open them up and check them out and what spring is in it before you use it, 450s are great good choice there but i also suggest forgoing with the vafc and just getting your ecu chipped and running a base map and or a street tune I think it would be cheaper than buying a vafc anyways...look up my HMT kit its floating around here

yeah on second thought i think i will go with smaller ic piping but i really cant afford that much and this ic kit is pretty cheap. i will look up some other stuff. and at worst just take a trip to autozone for some mandrel bends. i have thought about all the obd-0 stuff but cant find anyone to just plain out chip it and run a turbo setup or somthin cuz i have no adea how to tune it. i will try the hmt forum and see if anyone will do it for me. well i have seen lots of good numbers made with the hf mani and i guess i will still use that. thanks for the ifo. i will check for more ic stuff then post up pics when it is all on.

here is my new plan fr the turbo ic piping. much better i think. i would rather have black piping. thats what color my intercooler is gonna by as soon as its on. and this intercoller aint built for an frikin semi. its just right for my little car and turbo setup. and costs just a little more. or maybe its just the same. i will check again.

Yea i bought my Bends from Racing-Solutions, Look for ICs you will find them for fairly cheap, i think you could get a FMIC and mandrel piping for cheaper then that, DSM BOV are only like at most $40 shipped with the pipe and flange, I bought my silicone and T bolt clamps from siliconeintakes.com...send your ecu to xenocron to get it chipped he will send you a basemap with it to run your car but you will eventually need it tuned, each car is different and need dialed in specifically....
Yea you can make good numbers with the HF mani i just think w/ T3 turbos it puts the turbo 2 close to the block and often very low so the oil return is kind of tricky to keep from backing up...T25 and 14b are a tad smaller and have better fitment/placement but you can definately use it

yeah thanks for the tips i have seen that site and will ost likly be sending the ecu there for sure. i havent seen the t3 with the hf mani on yet but if there is a problem im sure i can find a way with my welding buddie. but thanks again for the advice im gonna go send that guy a message and see if he can get my crap runing ok.

I don't know I don't see how that kit will fit a 88-91 ED/EF the 92+ civic and 94+ integras have a little more room so the cold side pipe goes down right over the top of the trans, i don't think we have room to do that and the hot side pipe is completely different than what I have seen on ED/EFs and i don't see how it woudl even work

dammit i thought it would work. oh well if not then i will do some fabbing to it. i have some extra cuplers and things to fab it. but the intercooler is good right?

these are the specs from the site on ebat. but i know what you mean thay arent always telling the truth and it would be a better start on piping then nothing plus i get the good intercooler in the kit.

that looks like a pretty nice setup. hope mine turnes out ok. and i talked to that guy about my ecu. he has almost the same setup but he is running 10psi so he is gonna charge me a total of 50 to run his same program. and only 75 if i wanted to add vtec but im gonna get a controller for vtec. i love hmt.com it the greatest. so did you ever get a dyno done or takin it to the track?
vafc is a lot more expensive then a basemap chip kit from http://www.xenocron.com find someone to solder it in and you save $130 or so... plus id trust a basemap over a vafc tune... unless you know someone whos good with the vafc haha.
A nice little turbo that is a alot of fun to drive around town is an IHI Rhb5. They come with a built in waste gate set to 6 or 7 PSi depending on the car they come out of. I got one from an Izusu Imark turbo. I bought it because it was new. It is meant to be for a diesel engine but it work great on my D16Y7. At 6 psi it puts 150 lb/ft of torque from 2400RPM and 156 HP at 6200RPM. It spools super fast and it is just an absolute blast to drive it around town. The turbo is small so it fits just fine w/o having to worry about it hitting the radiator or notching the block. I have the stock cross memeber and I had lots of room for the down pipe. Stay with 2" max from the turbo to the IC and 2.5" max from the IC to the TB.
I have an Ebay blow off valve ( looks like an RFL piston type and it works flawlessly. It sounds nice too) Definitely go with turbo edit, but you will have to have the chip tuned to your car. I am having a lot of hesitation at the vacuum/boost transition. Problem is that there is nobody in town that can tune turbo edit for me.

yes the guy is chipping it with this program http://www.xenocron.com. he is a big hmt guy and have lots of vouches that say he has chipped and the cars ran good so. im just gonna grab his ecu and he is gonna chip mine for himself. for only 50 bucks. so yeah i have some smaller piping lying around i will definatly use that for the compressor the ic. and the nice looking ic 2.5 from ic to tb. thanks fro the tips again and i will post up the install to help others and let them know what ill be pullin on the streets of tucson.
