I have been seriously thinking of selling my r for the new evo vii that is coming here in 2003 .I went to the dealership and said i would have to leave a deposit soon if i was even considering it . I love the r to death and dont want to sell it but i feel that i want a little more power, maybe if im lucky enough i will figure a way to keep the r and still purchasethe evo . Please let me know what I should do !!!!! Is it worth it ? I will always love my r .

 

Ha!! I never thought I'd say this, but I'm debating also. I rode in Godspeed's WRX, and it was Damn fast! My R will never, ever be that fast, even with the planned Spec C build up I had planned. I think it handles like "crap" relatively speaking, but if you have the craving to go really fast like I do, I think it's a good option, hell, a really good one. Dan will tell you, his is insanely fast, and he hasn't even opened up the Motor. A bigger turbo yes, but that's about all! I can't even imagine what the same mods would do to an STI..you would rape nearly any car with just a small amount of $$ into the car.

Depends on if you want ultimate handling = Type R
Crazy Fast for cheap = STI, or EVO

 

well, like i try and say in every post about EVO7/STi and whatnot. wait and see what they bring over, it may suck.....

 

tats exactly how i feel i think im gonna do it . just work on the suspension a little bit to get it to handle and those windy roads and also upgrade turbo and the basic bolt ons to get the thing to cook. Also i dont know what color i want red, yellow, or black pleae help

Well I've been thinking the same thing...almost daily.

Seriously, if the EVO VII is anywhere near the performance I *think* it will be for under $30k...it's the car to own. Hell, I could drive one here in the sucky Midwest winters we have here as well.
