All you ridgeline owners out there i need your opinions on your honda truck. My dad is looking into trading my old 04 civic ex in for a ridgeline (long story, that involves my car being taken from me, but its ok i have a new(old) ek sedan now). He was looking at a ford sport trac or whatever that explorer looking thing is called, but he is a honda man at heart, and i think he will end up with the ridgeline. I am just curious on what you guys think of it. How is the ride, performance, i dont need to ask about reliability of course, things like that. Also he will be towing light loads, like a little trailer for quads or jetskis, so any insight on its strenghts and weaknesses is real helpful. Thanks in advance.

and there is also a way to mount the spare in the bed.
i love my ridgeline.

I absolutley beat the hell out of mine. Not an issue beyond a rattle or 2. Considering my Ridgleine was airborne several times and has spent most of its 30K miles (this year so far) off road, that is to be expected. There is not a more practicle vehicle.
I love my ridgeline, It is the most practical auto's ive owned so far, smooth and comfortable as a luxury sedan, tough enough to haul anything you can really throw at it.
Best way to find out if you like it, is go drive one. Infact go drive a toyota tacoma, or ford sport-trac first, and then go drive the ridgeline. You wont regret it.

Well I have a tacoma 4x4 and yes it is a bucket of bolts and really sucks driving on the street, but once it goes offroad it really comes alive. Unfortunately, offroad is few and far between for me so most of the time I hate driving it (my previous daily was a crx).
Been thinking about trading for a Ridgeline also, but utility is a big concern for me. How do you Ridgeline owners haul something like a 4'x8' sheet of plywood? In my Taco it just hangs over the closed liftgate about a foot and a half.

the plywood fits in the back with the tailgate down. i believe its a full 8 foot bed with the tailgate down. bedextender is definately a good thing. I dont have one yet, but I plan on getting one.
i got to drive a ridge, fully loaded for a week before i bought mine.
perks for working at honda. i figured out what accesories i would use, and what stuff i wouldnt use.
when i bought the truck, i got it exactly how i wanted it. have been happy ever since.
just needs more power..... i do have intake and exhaust, but it needs more. comptech hurry up!

With the tailgate down the loading surface is 79" long so you'll have a similar overhang in this case. The width between wheelwells is 49.5" so they will lay completely flat.

Ridgelines are great! I drive them all the time @ work. We don't seem any issues with them! I will be buying one soon also! Time to upgrade from the CRV.
