I hate water!!!!!
Mine does that sometimes too, although not very often since I don't drve it when it rains out now. I was thinking about putting on the stuff that they sell for truck beds, duraliner. Maybe I will do that today and let you know how it goes. It seems like it should keep the water out.

The car has no accidents and everything is in mint condition (reason I bought it) with 101,000kms. The seals are nice and fresh and I can tell that it is not leaking from the actual hatch or seals. The first time I found out I took apart the tail lights right away and ran silicone around them. It almost looks like it could be coming from the black snorkel thing under the left tail light but I'm not sure how. If anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it please let me know.
Get inside the back of the car and shut the hatch. Have someone else on the outside with a garden hose(or whatever) and completely spray down the back of the car, watch for leaks. Most the time you can spot where the water is coming in. btw... its a lot easyer with all the back interior trim removed, or pulled back so you can see everything.
my 97 ek did the same thing ,,it was hands down the tail lights,, i fixed no more problems
any chance someone rolled or worse cut the fenders??I've seen thins done before and water was slung in the cargo area from the tires ,,if i'm not making sence I'l break it down further ,,,,but i think i'm clear
g'luck ...latyer

buy some silicon spray lube (not grease)
soak your rubbers
let soak in
soak them again
let soak in
....repeat as needed
this will restore the rubber seals
they shrink with age
do not use rtv

Why not just get a water hose and pour water on the top of your car and find out for yourself

SO many honda's have this issue, most of the time , the gasket or seal for the trunk or window or hatch or tailight's go bad after man years of use/ oxygen drying them out, and became brittle and broken.
I used to have that problem in my EJ hatch.
It was my tailights. This was back in the fall of last year. Now I hear water slushing around when i brake abruptly or slow down. But the thing is theres no water in my trunk or anywhere to be found?
Any ideas? Sorry for thread jacking but it seemed to be along the same lines...

Its just the noise of water waving about in my car. At first i thought it was my gas tank i was hearing cuz i removed my rear seats and all but that made no sense...
