I'm new to the community, and full of questions...
I searched around the forums and learned a lot already. I just purchased a DC5, and I got it from a guy I know that is a wholesale dealer. The car has been wrecked pretty significantly, but seems to have no driving problems, and although I can see a gash in the right front area on the frame, it looks straight. I don't expect this car to be perfect, especially at the price I got it for, but I want to MAKE it as close to perfect as possible. That being said, the SRS light is currently on, I knew that before buying it, and I think it's because the seatbelts have been replaced, and the light it still on. Can I get that turned off somewhere besides the dealership?
Also, I hear a pretty loud noise in the back of the car when going over bumpy areas. I thought it was the jack in the back, but I moved it out and still hear the noise. Could this be the exhaust knocking the bottom of the car?
Also, I have no idea whether this car came with Keyless Entry or not, I assume it PROBABLY did, but I don't know how to find out. I didn't get a remote with it. It also came with only one key, and I KNOW that I will want a spare one, I'm pretty sure there are several places around here that duplicate car keys.
That's it for now, this seems like a good community. Just by searching this forum, I've found a ton of useful information!
I see that site says it is for a Civic. I assume you're saying that it's the exact same procedure for my car. Thanks for the help there.
I am absolutely positive that the noise I mentioned above is coming from the rear suspension, on both sides. It seems like the best thing to do is take it to a dealership and have them look at it. Other than that... I'm enjoying my new toy!
