Default Cam Seal/Cam Plug Removal

So I was helping my cousin change his cam seal/cam plug today, the one on the distributor side, and after i got the valve cover off, i took the long bolts off the cam holder and yet, still the cam holder would not come off or even budge. I tried to carefully take it off with a flat head but still wouldn't come off. So I tried to hit it carefully a couple times with a rubber malet and still won't come off. Any ideas? I took all 4 bolts off. two outer, two inner. This is a b18b1 by the way. Non-vtec

it should pop out with a flat head-- if it breaks you have a new one any way

do not use the flathead you might scratch the surface of the camholder and head.
lightly tap all around until it comes off.
