Default throttle body

im goin turbo soon and before i do that i was wondering if by upgrading my throttle body on my 01 gsr to say a Type R throttle body, will this help wit hp in any way?

it would help gain a 3 hp but not as much as a 68mm or 70mm

600hp, j/k around 10-15hp and 7-9ft/lb torque

Ive seen so many mixed reviews on tb's. I've seen some dynos that dont gain any and some that say they do. So I'm just unsure on the whole issue. I think they are way to overpriced for the amount of HP you gain, unless you are fully and completely building an engine.

ill call bs on that. i don't believe in large throttle bodies. if i dont go itb i will be running a 63.5mm throttle body with a wiggens clamp connecting it to my charge piping. this is on a setup i am shooting for 700+hp with.

You got to let the air free, just dont go more than like 66mm for all motor, and 70mm for turbo, unlees you got full blown race motors that use 75mm tb

why would i go 70mm throttle body with 2.5" charge piping? i really doubt i would gain any hp going from a 63.5mm throttle body with a wiggens clamp to a 70mm throttle body with a silicone reducer.

How much boost you running? you got cams port and polished head? if so get 3 in piping
