civic si radio question

Default civic si radio question

just installed the si radio into my car. the problem is that everytime i turn my car off for like 5 minutes and turn it back on i have to program the code in again. its a pian because all your radio presets get lost. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You probably don't have the constant 12v (commonly called the "memory" wire) hooked up. Check your wiring again. If you need, I can give you a diagram of 99 - 00 Civic stereo wiring.

i had the same problem when i first bought my car. the wiring was all effed and the dash and tach lights wouldn't come on when i started the car and turned on the lights. i told the dealership to fix it before i bought it. i ended up just buying an alpine cd player ///\lpine ftw

Remove the radio and make sure your power wire and memory/ACC are correct...

are you talking about a 99-00 si or a 92-95 si.^^^ that plug is for a 98 down honda. some of the wire colors are probably the same though. hers the 2000 wire colors. if you need them.^^^ that might have been all you needed.
