Default Stock Radio and Clock Problem

I just started having a weird problem.. whenever I turn my car off and back on, my radio resets itself and I have to enter the code to get it to work again.. also my clock is dimming, so I can hardly see it at all during the day, and at night for that matter.. If I press the little window below it (where you can press to see what time it is when the car is off) it lights up perfectly.. and if the car is off and I press it, I don't see anything.. I was wondering if maybe they share a same ground that could be bad? or if anyone has any idea of why this would happen before I go tearing through the wiring looking for a problem.. thanks.

Check your wiring for the radio. Sounds like you grounded the illumination wire or the ignition wire.
