I hope someone can help me..i just recently replaced my ac compressor thinking that would cover the problems but hasn't. When I turn on the a/c the compressor kicks in but the fan doesn't. So I would gently spin the fan and the a/c kicks in. But however after about a minute the a/c compressor and fan would go crazy on and off. I replaced both relays and double checked all fuses. The fan is receiving power because it does go on and off. What could possible be next for me to check? Thanks for any help!!

 

could it be that you over charged the a/c? iv heard if its too full that it'll automaticly cut off witch would explain it going on and off.

 

when i check the ac when its on for a brief minute or two..it reads 35 or so well in range for a good charge..

 

I had a similar problem with my 00 Civic Si. Turned out to be the ground.

 

If the fan is not running, you are experiencing high head pressure. This will cause the car to nearly stall or stall completely. The condensor fan has to run the whole time the AC compressor is on. Period. If you have to spin the fan with your finger to make it work, sounds like the motor is on its last leg to me....

 

are you talking about the motor itself? or the ac motor?

 

i would think hes talking about the fan motor.

 

could be a clog in the comp or the dryer too - bad clutch, a HOST of weird things coudl be going on.. lol

 

it's a brand spanking new compressor..

 

anyone know where the ground for the condenser fan is? I can't find it anywhere..i checked the other ground it looks fine...
