I live in chicago so the cold-air intake is out of the question...im looking into buying a short-ram intake...which brand is the best...and also should i break in my engine first before i install it? and lastly does wrapping thermotape around the pipe help? thanx alot guys

Injen is probably your best bet. No need to break the engine in before install.

I had AEM SRI intake on my last car. I have Injen CAI on my Si. To me, I chose Injen because they took their time to develop their product and not rush things. Injen has great products.

Just 1 question did you have to cut anyting to get the cai in i def dont wont to do that ive seen alot of people do it and a few that havent. I refuse to cut anyting to make a cai fit this should have been work out before they put it out. I would def go for a cai intake right now if i dont have to cut anything if not i am buying a sri in october right before my 07 si hit's the dealership.

Personally i have the aem short ram, it sound ******* great, and i love it, i have no knowledge about the other short rams, k&n is suppose to be really good - supposedly ads like 10 horse power. i was going to get the k&n but decided on the aem. im sure any short ram is good. but i am a satisfied customer. i just ordered the evo2 catback from greddy and should be getting that in the next few days. so the car will sound even better.

How good does the aem sound ! i am also thinking about a aem sri but the k&n look's good as well because it comes with a heat sheild. So at this point i am confused i wish i can hear all 3 intake's in person the k&n,aem, injen, screw fugita any feedback would be great.

The only reason i would consider the K&N intake is because it has a heat sheild and what exactly is Heat Soak ?. I dont think i would suffer from that in the winter time which is comin soon here in NY.

Wow that's bs ive heard some people didnt have to cut anything in the wheel well with the injen and aem cai and most people do ti themselves. I would def take it to a performance shop and try to cover up that hole you made.

fujita broke off from injen as a seperate company to make better quality products.

this morning i helped my friend chris install his fujita sri on his 07 si and its legit.

and it comes with a sweet duffel bag, a hat and 2 stickers.
that should be enough to sell it.haha

its also got detailed pictured step by step instructions.
everything went smoothly.
id reccomend it
