What's the difference between the regular AEM ram air and the V2?
Nothing that spending the extra money is worth. Just get a generic intake from ebay. Aem isnt worth the money IMO.
It's not really worth it but if I'm correct the AEM has been tested and approved for use (CARB???) ? Whereas those generic ebay ones have not. But not like many people care about that haha

I care about carb EO because the COP cares about giving me a 100 dollar ticket and smog ref.

No, there are people that will pay top dollar at brand name jewlers for diamons, and those that buy them from a local jewler.

I think they redesigned the V2 to ingest more air into the engine cause for one it looks bigger and the curves are different I think I read it off of AEM.com . Also do not buy ebay intakes they may cause problems in the long run because they are not CARB certified and the materials used in the filters is no good may faul your sensors
AEM lifetime warranty and will not void manuf. warranty

The V2 has a resonance chamber of sorts, designed to improve airflow. The benefits are small and generally not noticable on our cars. With the V2 you cannot use the bypass valve.
An intake is an intake. Just use a good filter. CARB certified doesn't mean squat unless you're in California, where everything is more strict.
And from everything I've ever seen or heard, the bypass valve pretty much cancels out any gain you might have received from using in intake.
(In terms of intakes, I'm pro-OEM.)

you don't need a bypass value becase V2 is a short ram
bypass valve do decrease the gain tho'
